Ana Gabriela García talked about Terremoto’s most recent projects which address the question of how can we, as artistic agents, work with and subvert the colonial gaze in our practices. She introduced Terremoto’s newest issue ‘Look Who’s Talking’, as well as talking about the recently launched exhibition program La Postal, which focuses on archival investigations.
Ana Gabriela García is an art historian. Her research addresses archive policies and visual culture. She has co-curated photography and archive exhibitions at Laboratorio de Arte Alameda and Centro Cultural Border. She was a researcher for the project M68: Ciudadanías en movimiento at the Centro Cultural Universitario Tlatelolco. She is currently associate editor of the magazine Terremoto, as well as curator of the archive exhibition program of Terremoto: La Postal.
