Sasha Galitzine is a freelance curator based in London. She specializes in curating group exhibitions and projects in unusual locations and public spaces not previously appropriated or designated for the experience of art. Each exhibition concept evolves directly from local research, engaging and collaborating with local community and commissioning site-specific works in a variety of media to engage new audiences.
Her past few exhibitions have included 'Closer to the Veg' over 30 plot allotments in Highgate, 'Pompe' a Dionysian procession down Regents Park Canal and her most recent project 'Salon 63' which took place in collaboration with 10 hair and beauty salons along the number 63 bus route. Previously she has worked for New Holland Island and Manifesta 10 in St. Petersburg and last year was the London Representative for König Galerie's new London space.
